Designers' Saturday

Location
Hector Egger Holzbau
Steinackerweg 18
4900 Langenthal

Every two years, Langenthal becomes an international meeting place for design during the Designers’ Saturday.

The event is being held at 7 different locations in and around Langenthal, each one with their own unmistakable character – 7 areas of creative activity which embody the spirit of innovation, the everyday routine of production and that special something which constitutes the added value of good design.

On the occasion of Designers’ Saturday 2018, Design Switzerland organises active formats that at the same time connect young Swiss designers with potential partners in the industry and link them with established peers to learn from their experience. Additionally, a selection of designers will showcase their prototypes, allowing the general public to experience the design processes.

This matchmaking will be present in a site-specific lounge, conceived in collaboration with Teo Jakob, where visitors are welcome to meet and exchange during the opening hours:

Friday 2 November – For Professionals only
13:00-21:00

Saturday 3 November – Open to the public
9:00-18:30
Event: Prototypitch – 14:30-16:00
The designers have 5 minutes to present their prototypes to the audience. The presentations will be each time followed by a round of questions and advice given by invited experts.

Sunday 4 November – Open to the public
10:00-18:00
