Within the framework of its Autumn 2023 Design Work Grants, Pro Helvetia has selected twelve projects for concept development, prototype development, production or project extension funding.
The awarded projects demonstrate a wide variety of fields: from product, fashion, industrial, graphic and service design.
About the selected projects, the jury stated: «Despite and precisely because of the challenging times, we jury members see many opportunities for change in the projects submitted. It is important to create a safe space for designers to freely express their values and opinions and find solutions to the problems of our world today. Sustainability and the connection to nature and the local environment are becoming more important again for many people than they used to be, and the connection between people and nature has become even more important for tackling the problems of our time. Many of the selected projects present approaches to solving these challenges.»
