virage and Panter & Tourron at the Design Days

The 11th edition of the Design Days will take place from 26 to 29 September 2019 in Geneva, with a strong focus on Swiss creativity, young design, fashion and digital design.
This year, Pro Helvetia supports seven swiss designers, selected among the participants to an open call, who will present their work during the event. Among them, design studios virage and Panter & Tourron, both based in Lausanne.
virage are Benoît Chastenet, Lionel Dalmazzini, Arthur Desmet and Arthur Monnereau. After graduating from ECAL/University of Art Lausanne in 2016, they developed expressive proposals through simples manufacturing processes. The creations they present in Geneva are a mix of different projects, unique or ongoing, that characterize the identity of the studio. Objects like masks, a «billboquet» a hammer or baskets are revisited with the distinctive style of virage.
Panter & Tourron are Stefano Panterotto & Alexis Tourron. Their furniture research project «Tense» explores the evolution of living in a time of global mobility and fluid identities. Celebrating the multi-locality of today and tomorrow, «Tense» consists of five neo-nomadic essentials characterized by sculptural forms and innovative materials. They are easily transportable, tool-free and entirely connected by the force of tension allowing one to recreate and rebuild a home anywhere in a few simple steps.
