Knitted rug: Alice Wäfler with «Land(s)mann»

The Swiss textile designer Alice Wäfler recently graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels with a Master Degree in Textile Design and an executive Master in Knitting Design. During the four years of her studies she experimented with the wide range of yarn.
With «Land(s)mann» Alice Wäfler aims to explore the ecological and social sustainability of the rug with a strong focus on the local scale. For the Berlin-based designer it is important to work with her Swiss heritage – with «Land(s)mann» she wants to continue the rich tradition of the swiss textile industry.
