Swiss Design Map Milano

Swiss Design takes center stage at Teatro Litta, the oldest theater still in operation in Milan: the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia is pleased to show a selection of young innovative studios under the label Design Switzerland.

Selected following a call for applications, the exhibited projects have in common ambitious solutions that significantly improve people’s lives in a smart, engaging and sparkling way. In a site-specific scenography by Geneva-based bureau sacha van der potter, visitors are invited to step on stage and experience a flight simulator, discover a kinetic clock that follows the sun, a sensor for the elderly, a robotic arm in action, an emergency window solution and furniture produced by electric induction: whether through their mode of production, the sustainable use of materials, the response to societal challenges or the questioning of their function, the projects presented on the Design Switzerland scene reflect a society and a market in the making.
Design Switzerland is part of the Swiss Design Map Milano, initiated by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Milan during Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone. More information about the Swiss Design Map Milano here.
