Birdly® fulfills people’s ancient dream of flying.

Birdly® was born in 2013 as a Design Research project at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). With immersive technologies, Zürich-based company Somniacs creates an extremely vivid full-body experience that makes you instantly forget the mechanics and computer codes behind this spectacular apparatus, and enjoy the ultimate freedom of a bird and intuitively explore the skies. Since 2014, Birdly® has been presented at high profile shows such as Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Siggraph Vancouver, GDC San Francisco, CES Las Vegas, Future of Storytelling (New York) and SXSW (Austin, Texas). As one of the most acclaimed location-based platforms to date, Birdly® systems are installed at museums, aquariums, tourist sites, and VR -arcades around the world. In addition, Birdly® caters branded experiences for luxury, fashion, aviation and real estate industries.

At Fuorisalone and within the frame of the Design Switzerland exhibition at Teatro Litta, Birdly® invites visitors to experience Milan like never before in «Simulazione Milanese» a speculative design experiment over the skyline of Milan.

Don’t miss your opportunity to experience it!
