Milano 2019: selected designers are announced

For the second year in a row, Pro Helvetia is pleased to show a selection of eleven young innovative studios at Palazzo Litta, under the label Design Switzerland.

The selected studios have in common ambitious solutions that significantly improve people’s lives in a smart, engaging and sparkling way. The exhibition will take place at the Teatro Litta, the oldest active theater in Milan, in a site-specific scenography created by Geneva-based bureau sasha von der potter.

The context of Palazzo Litta within Fuorisalone being the ideal pivotal hub for design excellence on an international scale (and as part of Switzerland’s mission of cultural promotion), Pro Helvetia is thrilled to accompany young designers on this springboard of opportunities. By introducing homegrown design talent on Milano’s global stage, Pro Helvetia hopes to not only promote their significant contribution to the world of design, but also facilitate encounters and discussions with leaders of international markets in attendance and enable businesses.

Upcoming maintenance work

The application portal myprohelvetia will be updated from 1.1.-7.1.2024. Due to these changes, open applications must be finalized and submitted via the current online portal (myprohelvetia.ch) by the latest 23:59 on 31 December 2023. Until this date, the deadlines and criteria outlined in the current guidelines and calls for applications apply. New applications can be created and submitted in the application portal as of 8 January 2024.
