Poplin Project’s upcoming collection, «Y-A-COLLECTION!» has been supported by our latest Call for Projects.

Next Call for Projects opens on 13 December 2018

Socially responsible brand, designed in Zürich, made in Ivory Coast.

Many years spent in the fashion world have prompted Susann Schweizer   to ask herself questions about its globalization and impact on the environment. Passionate about crafts and inspired by West African culture, she launched in 2017 Poplin project, a socially responsible label combining the creativity of traditional African Wax textiles and contemporary designs.

The label promotes “slow fashion”: a single collection is launched every year in June, and each garment is cut and processed in small ateliers in Ivory Coast. Poplin Project collaborates on a long-term basis with local tailors and offers a part of its profits to local charities and cooperatives.

Poplin Projects offers a woman, man, and kids line, as well as accessories. After the success of her first collection, soldout in just a few days, she extended her line with home accessories (cushions, plaids). The whole collection is available on Poplin’s online store as well.
