Next Call for Projects opens on 13 December 2018

Quality comes first

Varia Instruments responds to the growing demand of a high quality DJ mixer as an alternative for the cheap mass products available on the market. Their portable DJ mixer, the RDM20, was launched 2 years ago and has achieved a first commercial success.
In 2018, they have launched the TTW10, an innovative turntable weight, which is attracting a lot of attention in the international audio and DJ community.
Varia Instruments is now developing a new project for club use, which is supported by Pro Helvetia’s last Call for Projects.

About

Based in Bern, Varia Instruments is a young manufacture for professional audio equipment for the international DJ market. It has been founded by Marcel Schneider and Simon Schär: Marcel is is an electronic technician and sound engineer and Simon a passionate record collector, DJ and mechanist. Their approach is to produce high quality goods, made in Switzerland, acting locally and in total transparency: customers are welcome to pick up their mixers directly from their workshop and learn how their new tool was built.
