With «Pusada» industrial designer Carlo Clopath aims to propose an essential, contemporary, elegant and well balanced cutlery set with a hollow handled knife.

Each item is finely detailed with subtle variations of thickness – the handle is flat, nearly oval in section with fluid transitions from bowl to handle. The proportions are visually balanced and all lines are continuous – not only proposing a pleasant visual, but a comfortable  balance of each item in the hand, too.
With his first collection of kitchen utensils, «Palutta», available by Okro and inspired by customs and traditions of the Graubünden region, Carlo Clopath won the 2014 Swiss Federal Design Award.

Grisons native, Carlo Clopath studied at ECAL, then lived in Copenhagen where he worked at Cecilie Manz’ office and completed a residency at the Statens Vaerksteder for Kunst. Back in 2013, he decided to set his practice in a former electricity station in Trin, in his native region where he works for national and international companies.
