«Kraft» is a material research project, focusing on the properties of a 100% bio-based and biodegradable Swiss made material, commonly used in the electrical industry.

The designers Jerome Rütsche (Crisp ID) and Leon Laskowski teamed up for this research project and have examined the potential of this massproduced material for worthwhile uses in other valuable applications such as sustainable consumer products or lightweight structural components for automotive or furniture purposes. The two designers now wish to partner with a producer to develop a pioneering project informed by the gathered knowledge about and the established framework for aspects such as processing, shaping and surface treatment of the material. The research project was generously supported by the Pro Helvetia foundation.

About the designers
