AETHYRLAB is a disruptive rugby equipment line including helmets, shin guards and body protection items, presented by designer Ulysse Martel.

The designer developed the idea of creating this collection after combining neurological research with industrial innovations. His ultimate goal is to merge design and sports apparel, with a strong emphasis on both performance and aesthetics. After 5 years of reasearch, over 50 prototypes and 1000 hours of development, Ulysse Martel will unveal this collection at Design Switzerland / London designjunction.

Born in 1989 in the South of France, Ulysse Martel graduated in cabinet making from the École Boulle in Paris, with a focus on historical crafts ranging from oil paintings to marquetry. He subsequently completed a Master’s degree at ECAL and set up a studio of his own in Lausanne.
